The Ingham Conservation District has sponsored four river cleanups over the last 4 years. Two cleanups have been on the Red Cedar River in East Lansing,in partnership with the Michigan State University Department of Fisheries and Wildlife and funded by the Great Lakes Commission. In 2009 local boy scouts helped make the Huntoon Creek Cleanup in Leslie a success with funding from the Upper Grand River Implementation Project. Our most recent cleanup was the 2012 Cleanup of Sycamore Creek in Mason, where again our local scouts made a substancial contribution.
