Wildlife Workshops
Each year the District offers special workshops on a variety of topics. Check back regularly for updates to the calendar. Fees for workshops are minimal ($10-15 in most cases).
- Backyard Habitat Series
- Landscaping with Native Plants
- Deer stand placement and food plots
Wildlife Management Plans Development of professional wildlife habitat enhancement plans for private property. ($50.00 fee)
Management plans include:
- Consultation with the wildlife specialist to define your objectives and address your resource concerns.
- Field analysis of your property and a brief review of species, resources and concerns present.
- Maps of your property: Aerial maps, topographic maps, soils maps, wetland maps and a project map which shows suggested improvements and boundaries.
- Species lists: If your property has potential for species of concern, you will be provided with a list of the species and with management recommendations that are likely to benefit those species. Specific locational data will not be provided, however; in the case of sensitive species.
- Written management recommendations.
- A resource guide that provides a listing of sources for plants, seed, cost share programs and educational information.
- Special information on select species or ecosystems present at the site.
