Viburnum trilobum
This Michigan native bush is not a true “cranberry” but is actually a member of the Honeysuckle familly. Having large white flowers that bloom in June, this shrub is a great wildlife plant as it also has large bright red berries that develop in fall, and last into the winter. Providing a much needed food source into winter as other plants have died off.
Seedlings are about 1 year old.
Height: 8-12’ in maturity
Soil: Adaptable and tolerates many types, but prefers well-drained, moist, loamy soils
Sunlight: Full sun to partial shade
